I have received many interesting emails based on my blog. I am happy that I am able to interact with so many of you and that so many of you have continued to read my blog. In these emails, some of you have asked me questions about my job. So I decided that I would expand on these questions and dedicate a blog to what I do for work. After all, it does take up a significant amount of my time and my future spouse should know about my work.

I work as a freelance gaming developer with online casinos. This means I don’t work for any one casino and I don’t have an employer. I am my own boss. I find my own clients. But don’t worry. My client list is extensive and includes top names such as Mr Green, BGO Casino, Casumo Casino and Leovegas.

As a gaming developer, I work with these casinos to bring new casino games to life for their clients. I help develop games that are typically found in traditional brick and mortar casinos and bring them to a computer-based setting. This is challenging and rewarding. Some days I simply get to sit there and play games because I am testing them out. And I get paid to do this.

My work schedule can be erratic at times. Sometimes I work 12 hour days and other times I work short four hour days. Unfortunately, there is little warning from one week to the next as to how my schedule will be. It is all based on client needs and how smoothly projects go. I need someone who understand this and can be flexible.

Lastly, and most importantly, I love my job. It can be challenging and rewarding. But at the end of the day, I love helping clients and I love being my own boss. I am not looking to change jobs or fields anytime in the near future and I want to be with someone who accepts what I do and does not want to change that.
